Presentation on biomass heating at the Innovation Forum on the Bioeconomy in Quebec (FIBEQ 2019) organized by CRIBIQ

On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Quebec consortium for industrial bioprocess research and innovation (CRIBIQ) organized the very first Innovation Forum on the Bioeconomy in Quebec (FIBEQ 2019). This event took place from June 17 to 19, 2019 in Trois-Rivières.
During the “Panel - Vignettes on the current state of the biochar sector in Quebec” moderated on the 2nd day by Marc Giroux, Director of Economic Development at the MRC de La Jacques-Cartier, Nicole Guay, Vice-President of Business Development at Carbonaxion, made a presentation.
Entitled “Biomass heating: an innovative two-tier approach”, this presentation aimed to demonstrate the advantages of:

the use of torrefied wood pellets as fuel for biomass heating systems, as compared to other types of residual forest biomass;
-
the use of an outsourced “green” heat service.
